Born to a bluegrass family, Jordan began playing the guitar at the age of 12. Initially interested in rock and jazz, he did not discover bluegrass until the age of 15 after a trip to the Grey Fox Bluegrass festival. After this, Jordan embarked on developing his own style of flat-picking guitar. In the summer of 2004, between his junior and senior years in high school, Jordan recorded his first release for Patuxent Records entitled "No Place Better". Jordan's colaboration with banjoist Wes Corbett and Simon Chrisman on Hammered Dulcimer - "Corbett, Chrisman & Tice" released in 2007, has been hailed as one of the most innovative acoustic recordings of all time, a masterpiece of original compositions by the trio. |
